As you likely already know, construction is one of the most hazardous industries in the United States: in 2022, its workers accounted for 19.9% of all on-the-job fatal injuries but only 7.5% of employment. Hear more about work-related fatalities and how they impact different sectors and populations of workers from CPWR’s Data Center Director, Dr. Amber Trueblood, in this upcoming webinar.

Dr. Trueblood will review information from and answer your questions about the just-published Data Bulletin on Fatal Injury Trends in the Construction Industry from 2011-2022 and will also share the latest efforts from the Data Center to develop a NEW interactive CPWR Construction Chart Book. The Construction Chart Book, currently available in its sixth edition, presents a comprehensive overview of data on all facets the U.S. construction industry, including economic and employment trends, injuries and illnesses, and other safety and health issues. The newest version of it will be easier to access and users will be able to interact with distinct data dashboards on various topics to better isolate the information they need.

Moderator: G. Scott Earnest, PhD, PE, CSP, Associate Director for Construction, Office of Construction Safety and Health, NIOSH

Panelists: Amber Trueblood, DrPH, Director, CPWR Data Center

Live attendance is capped at 1,000 people; however, the webinars will be recorded and posted to CPWR’s YouTube channel for anyone who cannot attend.
